You just bought the cutest dress to wear tonight and of course you don’t want to look like you struggled to squeeze into it! Before you head to the bar or club for the night it’s important to eat a good meal that will not leave you bloated with putrid breath. You want to feel the best as possible when you hit the town for the night not worrying that you should have bought that extra pack of gum or having to suck in your stomach the whole night.

One of the key things to do is stay hydrated. This is important day to day, not just on the nights you want to go out drinking. Staying hydrated gives you more energy as well as improving the look of your skin. Not to mention if you will be drinking that night it is vital to drink lots of water to help flush out the alcohol from your system to prevent a nasty hangover. If you are not a person that loves drinking water, you can also get your hydration replenishment from fruits and vegetables because they have a high water content. Also, eating fruits and veggies before your night out won’t weigh you down or give you nasty breath (unless it’s onions or garlic…avoid this!)

Avoid foods that have a high fat and salt content. Try to stay away from fast food, large amount of red meat, or anything super salty or sweet. All of these things will fill you up, but they can make you overly full and feeling sluggish for the night. Not to mention you will probably get a stomachache if you eat a large fast food value meal before you drink liquor. If you do end up eating these items before your night out, stay hydrated so your body can begin to flush these toxins out ahead of time instead of the morning after when you wake up extremely parched.

Some great choices to eat before the club are sushi, a hearty salad, or a homemade sandwich. Sushi is great because it is very refreshing and not too heavy, but it will still keep you full. The fish contains vitamins beneficial to your health and the rice keeps your belly full but not overstuffed. Eating a salad with a light dressing accompanied by a portion of grilled chicken or fish is another great way to fill up. If you are trying to save some money, make yourself a homemade turkey sandwich on wheat bread with some lettuce and tomato. Again, the key here is to eat enough to stay full and give yourself energy to last the whole night.

Avoid any stinky foods such as garlic and onions that will seep through your pores if you begin to sweat in the packed club. Keep your meal simple avoiding high amounts of sugar, salt, and fat. You want to look and feel your best when you are out and about so make sure you are putting the best possible ingredients into your body to achieve that sexy VIP look and have everyone’s heads turning when you walk into the room.
